Accounting Office Associate

Position Overview

This role is responsible for managing all store funds through accurate cash handling and meticulous record keeping, ensuring the financial integrity and security of the operations.

Key Duties

• Verify the correct amount of currency in the Accounting Office daily at opening, after deposits, and before closing; perform weekly calibration of the teller mate machine as needed.
• Oversee all store monetary sources, including cash registers, ATMs, self-checkouts, and vending machines.
• Control cash flow by processing register bags to prepare bank deposits for armored car pickup and reconciling business transactions at the end of each day.
• Sort, prepare, and distribute financial reports and logs, while investigating and addressing chargebacks and journal account reconciliations.
• Report any cash shortages to the District Loss Prevention Manager and management in accordance with guidelines.
• Maintain vigilance over the area to detect shrinkage risks and security concerns, reporting findings to management and Loss Prevention.
• Ensure the safe is locked when the cash office is unattended and maintain a secure environment following company policies and procedures.

Compensation

This position has a starting hourly wage of $16.05.

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
