As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a varied client portfolio within New Zealand's leading Construction, Property, Power, and Renewables sectors. You will identify new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships and collaborating closely with clients, underwriters, and internal stakeholders to develop customized strategies that foster value creation, client retention, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent client service by understanding and meeting their requirements.
- Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within your existing portfolio and pursue new business prospects.
- Provide accurate and professional responses to client inquiries in coordination with external parties.
- Prepare proposals for potential new business deals.
- Manage client renewals, including calculating premiums.
- Contribute to the expansion of Aon's Power and Renewables portfolio, focusing on construction and property-related risks.
- Build and maintain technical expertise and strong market relationships across construction, property, infrastructure, power, and renewables sectors.
- Assist in the design and placement of insurance programs tailored to complex construction and operational risks.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in insurance broking and portfolio management, with a track record of high-quality client service.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Relevant knowledge or experience in construction, property, infrastructure, power, or renewable energy risk insurance is highly desirable.
- Level 5 Fire and General Qualification.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
