About the Role

Join a leading insurance brokerage where your work will support clients during pivotal life moments by delivering clear, confident, and innovative insurance placement solutions. As a Placement Broker, you will collaborate closely with Placement Leads to design and implement strategies across essential insurance lines of business. Your role covers program formulation, insurer negotiations, market analysis, and providing actionable insights to client service teams across New Zealand and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Placement Leads to architect program designs and conduct strategic account assessments.
  • Manage portfolios and engage with insurers across New Zealand, London, Asia, and Australia.
  • Deliver market intelligence and advisory support to client servicing groups.
  • Build comprehension of placement strategies to meet evolving business and client objectives.
  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with underwriters and insurance carriers.
  • Utilize the company’s analytics platforms to generate and share critical insights.
  • Contribute to tender submissions, foster client retention, and support new client acquisition efforts.
  • Implement operational best practices aligned with organizational principles and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to conduct, operations, privacy, and third-party engagements.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of primary insurance products such as Property, General Liability, and Motor insurance. You should be adept at interpreting intricate policy language and leveraging data for advisory purposes. Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation and communication are vital, alongside the ability to thrive within a dynamic, small team environment.
