Job Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, the Barista is responsible for executing various tasks that ensure smooth café operations while adhering to established service standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Primarily works independently during shifts, with assistance provided when necessary.
• Operates café machinery to prepare coffee, specialty beverages, bottled drinks, and baked/prepared food items.
• Maintains cleanliness in accordance with relevant local, state, and federal sanitation regulations.
• Performs routine daily and weekly cleaning of food contact surfaces, equipment, utensils, and customer areas.
• Manages inventory and arranges café merchandise following company guidelines to keep a neat and organized shopping space.
• Warmly welcomes customers entering the store and café, delivering excellent customer service consistently.
• Actively supports all point-of-sale initiatives and company promotions, such as discount cards, magazine sales, voucher pre-sales, and donation campaigns.
• Reconciles the cash drawer after each shift within the limits allowed by the Loss Prevention Policy.
• Provides assistance to bookstore operations as required.
• Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Education

• Minimum age of 16 years
• Successful clearance of all necessary background checks
