About the Job
Join a global team innovation-driven to enhance Retail Establishment Survey methodologies and data collection techniques. This role focuses on improving the RES design quality and universe estimation using advanced technologies, including machine learning, statistical methods, and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and refinement of methodologies aimed at elevating RES design quality and transforming universe estimation processes with machine learning and statistics.
- Conduct research on new methodological approaches, assess their impact, and quantify improvements.
- Deliver enhancements that boost both quality and efficiency of related processes.
- Collaborate across various teams, including technology, other data science units, and stakeholders, during the development and deployment stages.
- Develop prototypes and support pilot programs to foster innovation.
- Maintain and document global data science methodologies, ensuring clarity and shared understanding.
- Encourage the team to deepen data insight through proactive questioning.
- Review project and proof-of-concept progress, providing constructive feedback and recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related engineering fields focused on statistical data analysis.
- Minimum of five years’ relevant industry experience.
- Thorough understanding of FMCG industry core processes and expert knowledge of RMS systems or products.
- Experienced in study design and sampling techniques.
- Proficient in solution design and guiding teams during implementation.
- Strong innovative mindset with capability in applying statistical techniques and promoting experimentation.
- Ability to help others grasp complex technical concepts, creating focus for effective team delivery.
- Domain expertise in programming, statistical analysis, machine learning, deep learning, time series analysis, and sampling.
- Experienced with Python programming, machine learning workflows, and handling large-scale databases via queries.
- Knowledge of geospatial data and related methodologies is preferred.
- Capable of working in virtual teams and familiar with version control tools such as git and Bitbucket.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and adoption of emerging technologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities.
