Senior Rust Engineer (Remote, Singapore)

Job Summary

A prominent financial technology company is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to join their remotely based team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and developing production-ready software, services, SDKs, APIs, and integrations in security-sensitive contexts. This role demands expert knowledge in Rust and distributed systems, with an emphasis on code correctness, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-grade Rust services, SDKs, APIs, and system integrations.
• Translate technical requirements into clean, auditable, and testable code implementations.
• Design networking and orchestration components for intricate distributed and multi-party systems.
• Create and support cross-platform bindings and interfaces facilitating reliable system interoperability.
• Enhance developer experience by improving API design, documentation, and tooling support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deploy scalable cryptographic solutions.
• Implement thorough unit, integration, and other testing methodologies to ensure code quality.
• Detect and mitigate edge cases, performance bottlenecks, failure scenarios, and reliability risks.
• Ensure software is maintainable, audit-ready, and meets security standards.
• Provide clear interfaces to support technical integrations.
• Contribute to complex technical projects and expand expertise through teamwork.

Candidate Requirements

• At least five years of software development experience, with a minimum of two years working professionally with Rust in live production environments.
• In-depth understanding of Rust language fundamentals, including modern libraries and frameworks.
• Proven experience building production software integrated with other systems and applications.
• Strong proficiency in testing and validating one's own production code.
• Must be occasionally available outside core Singapore working hours for meetings with international clients.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly base salary ranging from S$10,500 to S$14,800, along with equity options.
• 20 paid vacation days annually.
• 11 official paid holidays each year.

Additional Details

• Core working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Singapore Time.
• Start date: Immediate availability preferred.
