Role Overview

As a Yard Sales Assistant, your role will be dynamic and customer-focused. You will build close customer relationships by consistently providing friendly and helpful service, often interacting with customers by name. This outdoor role involves processing customer orders, managing loading and unloading of customer and company vehicles, and handling deliveries from suppliers by booking products into the branch warehouse accurately.

While forklift experience is advantageous, comprehensive training will be provided to ensure safety and proficiency. Maintaining a clean and safe workspace is critical to uphold the company’s strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by being helpful and approachable
• Manage stock movement including loading/unloading vehicles and supplier deliveries
• Operate forklifts safely following company training and guidelines
• Keep the yard tidy and maintain high safety compliance standards

Candidate Profile

• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage confidently with customers
• Physically capable of handling heavy and bulky stock in line with health and safety requirements
• Adaptable, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
