Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Yard Hand / General Labourer to join our team at the Grande Prairie Head Office. This position involves preparing rental equipment for clients, ensuring equipment safety and operability, managing equipment loading/unloading, and maintaining an organized and safe yard environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare rental equipment promptly and accurately for customer use.
• Test and demonstrate equipment operation to clients as needed.
• Supervise safe and accurate loading and unloading of equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections on rental equipment using the tagging system to verify safety and functionality.
• Inspect returned equipment for damages and fuel levels, reporting issues immediately to the counter team.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe yard and shop area by correctly positioning equipment and clearing debris and snow.
• Record and document incoming, outgoing, and damaged equipment in accordance with Rentco procedures.
• Wash and fuel equipment as required.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Basic written communication skills and ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts.
