Overview
Securitas Australia is seeking a dedicated Workforce Planner in Victoria to ensure optimal staffing alignment for operational success. This full-time role focuses on strategic workforce planning, roster management, and efficient shift coverage to support security operations.

Role Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain accurate forward rosters across assigned sites, analyzing upcoming workforce needs to predict staffing gaps and mitigate potential risks.
- Maintain and update rosters ensuring staff allocation adheres to their availability, qualifications, and compliance requirements; manage shift replacements and resolve scheduling discrepancies.
- Monitor current and planned vacancies and ad hoc workloads; coordinate coverage with casual and relief staff to optimize workforce utilization and minimize unnecessary overtime.
- Ensure workforce compliance by tracking certifications, training, and licensing, collaborating with relevant departments to address readiness issues.
- Engage with Operations, Recruitment, HR, Compliance, and Account Management teams to align workforce planning with business needs and promptly handle roster-related inquiries and significant vacancies.
- Utilize workforce data to provide analytical insights, support management decision-making, and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to staffing and operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in workforce planning, scheduling, or operations management.
- Strong organizational capabilities and effective time management.
- Excellent attention to detail with advanced proficiency in Excel and other computer applications.
- Analytical skills to review workforce data and identify trends.
- Proficient communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and operate independently with sound judgment.
- Problem-solving aptitude and collaborative mindset for cross-department interaction.
Working Hours
Position entails standard business hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The planner is not responsible for overnight or weekend coverage but ensures appropriate staffing for those periods in advance.
Performance Indicators
- Roster coverage rate and reduction of unfilled shifts.
- Efficiency in forward roster management and casual workforce utilization.
- Minimizing excessive overtime and ensuring workforce availability meets operational demands.
- Accuracy and timeliness in roster data and vacancy handling.
- Compliance adherence among rostered employees and lowering recurring workforce shortages.
