Senior Workforce Planner

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Workforce Planner to lead comprehensive labour supply chain operations across major fulfilment centres. This newly created and high-impact position plays a crucial role within Amazon Australia's swift expansion, providing a unique chance to shape workforce strategy during rapid growth phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Operations and Finance leadership to synchronize labour strategies and plans, managing risk effectively.
• Continuously monitor labour market conditions and deliver advanced insights to forecast business impact.
• Develop and optimize candidate pipelines, improving cycle times, conversion rates, and applicant funnel metrics.
• Lead the planning, execution, and auditing of New Hiring Events (NHEs) aligned with labour demand projections.
• Oversee onboarding processes and coordinate recruitment teams to align hiring with business forecasts.
• Manage relationships with labour suppliers, oversee KPIs, ensure standard work delivery, and contribute to forecasting accuracy.
• Partner with staffing agencies to expand sourcing channels and build talent communities.
• Initiate and manage engagement programs including mentoring, Voice of Employee forums, round tables, and rewards systems.
• Champion continuous improvements and innovative initiatives across Workforce Solutions (WFS) processes.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in workforce planning and labour forecasting.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders effectively.
• Strong analytical proficiency with experience in deep metric analysis and reporting.
• Vendor management capabilities and familiarity with supplier relationship oversight.
• Technical experience in support, engineering, or operations environments.
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite and related applications.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Background in financial or business analysis.
• Experience in financial planning or commercial analysis roles.

Work Location and Travel

This position is based at one of the following locations: Bella Vista, Horsley Park, Eastern Creek, or Moorebank Fulfillment Centres, with up to 25% travel within the assigned region.
