Workday Finance Transformation Manager

About the Role

Join a dynamic consulting team responsible for steering finance transformation initiatives across multifaceted client projects. This role involves end-to-end leadership of finance system implementation workstreams, starting from discovery and design, through to configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of finance systems, ensuring alignment from initial analysis to successful deployment and enhancement.
• Handle diverse finance domains including general ledger, record-to-report, procure-to-pay, expenses, accounts receivable, banking, fixed assets, projects, and financial reporting.
• Translate financial business requirements into effective system configurations by engaging deeply with client finance processes.
• Facilitate workshops with finance leaders and essential stakeholders to gather insights and align solutions.
• Advise clients on various system design alternatives, recommend process enhancements, and guide implementation challenges.
• Identify, assess, and assist in resolving project risks, dependencies, and issues throughout lifecycle.
• Ensure seamless integration of finance processes, reporting, controls, data, and system features for optimal operation.
• Lead, mentor, and support consultants in project teams to uphold delivery excellence.
• Review deliverables meticulously to maintain high-quality standards.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with senior client executives to facilitate trust and collaboration.
• Contribute to business development efforts including proposals, demos, and project scoping.
• Support the growth and evolution of the organisation’s finance transformation and cloud ERP expertise.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience with Workday Financial Management or other significant cloud-based finance platforms implementations.
• Deep understanding of finance and accounting workflows.
• Track record of managing finance modules, functional streams, or key components within ERP rollouts.
• Hands-on involvement in all stages of system implementation, such as requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
• Strong grasp of the interplay between finance systems, reporting, data management, security, integrations, and business processes.
• Experience collaborating directly with senior finance executives.
• Skilled in facilitating workshops and confidently delivering presentations and recommendations.
• Background in consulting, professional services, or large-scale enterprise transformation projects.
• Leadership capabilities demonstrated through guiding, coaching, or evaluating consultants’ work.
• Possessing certifications in finance systems is a plus but not mandatory.
