The Opportunity
A leading professional services firm in Auckland is seeking a seasoned Transfer Pricing Manager to join their expert and collaborative transfer pricing team. You will engage with large multinational corporations and rapidly expanding businesses across various sectors. This role involves close interaction with both local and international corporate tax specialists as part of a cohesive team delivering practical solutions for complex transfer pricing challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting transfer pricing analyses and studies to assist clients in fulfilling international transfer pricing requirements.
- Providing guidance on complex transfer pricing issues involving multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintaining and managing client relationships with efficient and effective query responses.
- Meeting clients to grasp their business operations, transfer pricing needs, and risk exposure.
- Supporting tax authority disputes and Advance Pricing Agreement processes by preparing relevant submissions and responses.
- Overseeing engagement budgets aiming for profitability and alignment with broader team objectives.
- Leading project management activities for transfer pricing engagements from start to completion.
- Supervising, mentoring, and allocating work to junior team members.
- Contributing to ongoing improvements of internal processes and systems.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum five years of transfer pricing experience in a professional services environment.
- Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- Proven capability in managing transfer pricing projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving competencies.
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to build strong partnerships with clients, colleagues, and senior stakeholders.
- Experience in people management roles.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Self-driven with proactive initiative.
