Work Permit Receiver (WPR)

Overview

Hemamco Company Limited is inviting applications for an experienced Work Permit Receiver (WPR) to participate in projects approved by Saudi Aramco and other potential clients. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and compliant execution of construction activities while adhering to engineering standards and site safety protocols.

Primary Responsibilities

• Review and receive work permits prior to starting work operations.
• Inspect work environments and confirm necessary safety precautions are in place.
• Lead or engage in toolbox talks and safety briefings before job commencement.
• Effectively communicate permit stipulations to workforce members.
• Check that all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety measures are in effect.
• Collaborate closely with permit issuers, supervisors, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) team members.
• Halt any activity that breaches permit conditions or safety requirements.
• Continuously monitor the validity of permits and conditions at the job site.
• Manage suspension or revalidation of permits as necessary.
• Ensure permits are properly closed once tasks conclude.
• Support adherence to client-specific Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Technical qualification relevant to the role.
• At least 3 years of industrial or construction experience preferred.
• Prior experience specifically as a WPR or with PTW systems is mandatory.
• Where applicable, possession of client-approved WPR certification is required.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Understanding of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Experience with Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Ability to identify workplace hazards effectively.
• Knowledge of hot and cold work safety protocols.
• Awareness of confined-space and excavation hazards.
• Familiarity with Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Competence in conducting toolbox talks and enforcing worksite safety controls.

Preferred Qualifications

• Holders of valid Saudi Aramco WPR certification will be given preference for Aramco-related assignments.

Additional Candidate Requirements

• Relevant academic or technical credentials for the position.
• Experience in industrial, construction, infrastructure, oil and gas, or EPC sectors.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality assurance, cost management, and project timelines.
• Demonstrated professional responsibility suitable for dynamic project environments.
• Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC, or other major Saudi industrial clients is beneficial.
• English proficiency tailored to the job’s communication needs.
