Role Summary
The Plant Mechanical Foreman role is based on-site at the industrial area of Sanaya, Doha. The position demands leadership in supervising mechanical operations and maintenance tasks at the plant. Responsibilities include managing mechanical work teams, assigning and overseeing daily tasks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, examining mechanical equipment, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and liaising with engineering and multi-disciplinary teams. The foreman also prepares fundamental documentation on job progress, resource needs, and supports technician training and safety practices.
Key Qualifications and Requirements
- Expertise in Maintenance and Inspection processes to monitor plant equipment condition and reliability effectively.
- Hands-on experience with automotive or comparable mechanical systems, including rotating and static machinery.
- Educational background with a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, preferably with experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial facilities.
- Previous experience performing supervisory or foreman duties, managing mechanical teams and coordinating onsite activities.
- In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and permit-to-work systems, especially under high-risk industrial settings.
- Competency in interpreting mechanical drawings and technical documents, proficient communication skills for cross-disciplinary coordination, and capability in preparing clear reports.
- Flexibility and readiness to work on-site in Ras Laffan, including shift work, overtime, and participation in shutdown projects as necessary.
