Role Overview

This full-time opportunity based in Liverpool involves working as a Window Cleaning Operative delivering top-quality exterior cleaning services to residential properties mainly in the Merseyside area, with occasional travel to Lancashire, Manchester, and wider North West locations. The role focuses on maintaining property appearance and safety through window and estate cleaning, including use of water-fed pole systems. You will work mostly Monday to Friday, 37 hours weekly, typically from 8am to 4pm, with occasional out of hours work when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out window cleaning duties on site following Onward’s specifications and timeframes.
• Clean internal and external glass surfaces, fenestrations, plastics, and possibly gutters on higher buildings using pure water-fed pole technology.
• Represent the company with a professional and approachable attitude, embodying Onward’s values while engaging respectfully with colleagues, customers, and the public.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistently and provide a role model example to apprentices and seasonal workers within the team.
• Comply with reporting and safety procedures, keeping records accurate and highlighting any maintenance or repair needs for future planning.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety legislation, promoting a safety-first culture in all activities.
• Conduct routine inspections and upkeep of cleaning equipment, ensuring operational safety and timely ordering of consumables.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven previous experience using various lengths of Pure water-fed pole systems for window cleaning.
• Possession of a valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Strong customer service skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented with an ability to follow procedures and report performance accurately using digital and paper formats.
• High awareness of health and safety standards to protect yourself, team members, the public, and the environment.

Desirable Qualifications

• Training or certification in BWCA water-fed poles cleaning system is preferable.
