This permanent full-time position based in Flixborough, North Lincolnshire, involves essential hands-on responsibilities within a busy industrial environment. As a Stevedore, you will be engaged in the safe and efficient loading, unloading, securing, and handling of cargo. The role emphasizes strict adherence to health and safety standards while working as part of a professional team. Shift work is required, with pay starting at £14.00 per hour, plus additional remuneration for overtime, weekends, and bank holidays.

Compensation and Benefits

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform safe and efficient loading and unloading of vessels
• Secure cargo by lashing and releasing as necessary
• Support cargo movement and storage tasks
• Operate plant and handling machinery where authorized
• Strictly follow health and safety protocols
• Collaborate effectively within team operations to meet objectives
• Ensure working areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition

Candidate Requirements

• Preferably prior experience in stevedoring, port operations, logistics, warehousing, or related industrial roles
• Dedicated to maintaining high health and safety standards
• Physically fit to undertake demanding manual tasks
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
• Good communication and team-working abilities
• Driving licence is an advantage
• Experience in forklift or plant operation is beneficial
