Location Overview
Situated in a picturesque tropical retreat, Four Seasons Resort Seychelles offers a serene escape on Petite Anse bay. Guests enjoy private pools, ocean views, pristine beaches, a tranquil hilltop spa, and access to local culture and island adventures on Mahé, Seychelles' largest island.
Role Overview
As a Waste Management Attendant, you will be responsible for managing waste disposal, driving trucks within and outside the resort, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of refuse areas, coordinating recycling processes, training team members on waste management policies, and supporting other duties as needed. You will ensure all activities comply with resort and local regulations while upholding high standards of hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate resort trucks following property and local laws for efficient garbage collection and disposal.
- Maintain refuse areas and compactor zones in pristine condition through cleaning and organization.
- Control and supervise recycling activities, maximizing resort recycling efforts and instructing staff on relevant policies.
- Coordinate with multiple departments and contractors for segregation and removal of waste materials.
- Manage inventory of waste bins and equipment, ensuring proper stock control and storage upkeep.
- Support banqueting tasks, stewarding duties, and transportation of equipment as required.
- Comply with hotel fire, hygiene, health, and safety regulations, reporting malfunctions and damages promptly.
- Preserve resort assets, maintain sanitation standards, and monitor trash levels for timely removal.
- Attend meetings, comply with management directives, and assist in special projects supporting operational excellence.
- Foster good working relationships across departments and participate in continuous training initiatives.
Employment Details
This is a full-time position with five working days per week. Shifts will vary including early mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays, reflecting the 24/7 nature of hotel operations.
