Job Objective
This role seeks a meticulous and dependable Warehouse Operator dedicated to accurate inventory management, efficient handling of materials, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining organized storage to ensure smooth warehouse operations and quality standards compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Store materials precisely in designated locations maintaining organized and accessible inventory.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for timely dispatch, ensuring correctness of items and quantities.
- Maintain updated inventory records using warehouse management systems and conduct regular stock audits.
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners safely and effectively.
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and tracking of shipments and materials.
- Comply with all safety, security, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in loading/unloading goods carefully to prevent damage.
- Monitor stock levels, promptly reporting discrepancies or damage to supervisors.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized to support operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to achieve daily targets and deadlines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for warehouse processes.
- Execute physical and system stock transactions using ERP/SAP/Oracle systems.
- Prepare kits and materials for production and maintenance teams.
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling operations.
- Basic understanding of inventory processes including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching.
- Preferably familiar with Warehouse Management Systems and handheld scanning devices.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Basic numerical and data entry skills for inventory tracking.
- Physically fit for lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality standards, punctuality, and operational efficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in vaults, inventory operations, or warehouses.
- Knowledge of security and access control guidelines.
- Familiarity with ERP inventory modules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
- Basic skills in Microsoft PowerPoint for reporting purposes.
- Experience operating narrow aisle forklifts is advantageous.
- Capability to handle confidential and sensitive materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Adaptability to work in secure, compliance-driven environments.
- Willingness to learn new technology and tools.
- Basic Occupational Health & Safety training.
- Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
