Overview
Join the dynamic team at a leading global logistics and transport company based in Cork, Ireland. As a Warehouse Operator, you will focus on maintaining safety, quality, and achieving operational performance targets within a fast-paced environment. This role offers you the chance to work both independently and collaboratively to support seamless warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strictly follow health and safety guidelines in all assigned duties to ensure a safe working environment.
- Engage with customers as necessary to support operational needs.
- Operate forklifts proficiently and work independently during longer periods to maintain workflow.
- Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed work instructions accurately.
- Coordinate effectively with internal customers to fulfill business requirements efficiently.
- Complete warehouse tasks diligently, preserving product quality, inventory accuracy, and process integrity as per SOPs.
- Maintain productivity that aligns with the average outputs of the team (units processed per hour).
- Monitor stock for discrepancies and promptly report any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Stay updated on weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory precision.
- Ensure that all orders are received, picked, reviewed, and dispatched in full accordance with customer specifications.
Candidate Profile
- Ability to work independently within a warehouse environment without supervision.
- Certified and experienced in forklift operation along with other warehouse machinery.
- Physical capability to undertake packing and loading tasks.
- Consistent history of meeting or exceeding targets and picking rates.
- Competent in using computers and Warehouse Management Systems such as SAP.
- Reliable and trustworthy in managing assigned responsibilities.
- Good communication skills in English — spoken, written, and reading comprehension.
Working Conditions
Working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 37.5 weekly hours.
