Job description
Job Summary
Join Lidl GB as a Warehouse Operative focused on recycling operations based in Severn Beach, England. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of 14.45 per hour, with a standard 40-hour weekly contract. Shift hours run from 2pm to 10:30pm. Employees receive 30 to 35 days of holiday on a pro rata basis, a 10% discount on in-store purchases, and access to a pension plan. Subsidised transport is available from Weston-Super-Mare and Newport at 2 per journey for all shifts.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Register vehicles entering the recycling zone.
- Efficiently handle recyclable materials, including cardboard, plastic, and food waste.
- Collaborate with contractors and fellow team members to maintain smooth collection schedules.
- Log pallet counts and report any problems using the Warehouse Management System.
- Operate machinery safely to transport pallets and complete assigned tasks.
- Support drivers during debriefings and verify proper pallet placement on outbound lanes.
- Maintain high operational standards through a "clean as you go" policy within warehouse operations.
