About the Role
We are seeking a Vulnerability Researcher to join our client’s team on a full-time remote basis. This position focuses on in-depth technical investigation to uncover software vulnerabilities within various systems and applications, contributing to the security enhancement efforts of a leading global technology organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct both static and dynamic software analysis to discover weaknesses within codebases and related infrastructure.
- Create proof-of-concept exploit code to confirm identified vulnerabilities and evaluate their potential impact.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to assess, prioritize, and address security issues.
- Investigate new threat trends, exploit techniques, and zero-day vulnerabilities tied to relevant technologies.
- Prepare detailed documentation outlining technical findings, risk evaluation, and mitigation strategies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Python, or Go to support vulnerability discovery and exploitation tasks.
- Proficiency with reverse engineering platforms including IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja.
- Understanding of various vulnerability classes like buffer overflows, race conditions, and injection flaws.
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating system internals, and memory corruption exploitation methods.
- Experience using fuzzing frameworks such as AFL, LibFuzzer, or Honggfuzz.
- Familiarity with principles of secure coding and software development life cycle security practices.
- Capability to produce comprehensive technical reports tailored for audiences with varying levels of expertise.
