VP/SVP - Head of Developer Experience (DevEx)

Role Summary

The Head of Developer Experience holds a senior technical leadership position within Market Engineering, championing secure engineering standards across critical financial systems at SGX. This role oversees enterprise-level DevSecOps initiatives, upholds engineering best practices, and ensures secure, resilient, and compliant delivery of solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define enterprise standards and automation for CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and automate platform capabilities.
• Establish DevSecOps protocols and security automation frameworks.
• Lead initiatives improving developer experience and engineering enablement.
• Guide platform engineering methodologies and environment management strategies.
• Drive adoption of engineering self-service and governance of engineering tools.
• Manage enterprise workflow automation programs and policy-as-code for compliance.
• Develop DevOps capabilities and standardization across teams.
• Lead the creation of agentic AI services to automate tasks, enhance DevEx, and integrate agents with CI/CD, cloud, security, environment, and observability workflows.
• Own and manage high-visibility workstreams with accountability for deliverables, risks, dependencies, and reporting to senior leadership.
• Provide expert input on security architecture, threat modeling, and secure design for new platforms and significant technology changes.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience in DevSecOps, security or platform engineering, or technical leadership in complex, high-availability settings; financial services or regulated industry experience is highly preferred.
• Proven leadership in managing projects or teams with responsibility for outcomes, stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, and delivery quality.
• Hands-on expertise with secure SDLC, CI/CD tools, static and dynamic application security testing, software composition analysis, container security, secrets management, compliance and policy automation.
• Technical proficiency with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, Python, Bash or PowerShell, and monitoring platforms such as ELK, Datadog, and Coralogix.
• Strong foundation in identity and access management, encryption, secure configuration, vulnerability management, incident response, technology risk, and standards including OWASP, NIST, and CIS Benchmarks.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to challenge and guide teams to deliver secure, practical, and maintainable solutions.
• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or related fields; cloud, DevOps, security, or architecture certifications are a plus.
