Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled VMware & Windows Engineer to oversee and maintain enterprise virtualization and Windows server systems within a comprehensive large-scale infrastructure setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
- Manage Windows Server infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configurations.
- Utilize VMware features such as High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), vMotion, and conduct capacity planning.
- Implement, monitor, and optimize backup and recovery solutions including Veeam, Commvault, and NetBackup.
- Manage SAN and NAS storage systems effectively.
- Support disaster recovery procedures and data center operations.
- Perform patch management and security hardening tasks to ensure system integrity.
- Apply ITIL methodologies and operate within ServiceNow systems for service management.
Required Experience and Skills
- Possess between four to six years of practical experience in administration of VMware and Windows IT infrastructure.
- Demonstrate proven capabilities supporting enterprise data center environments.
Preferred Professional Certifications
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- Microsoft certifications related to Windows Server platforms.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
