VMware vSphere Cloud Administrator

About the Role

This role focuses on managing and maintaining VMware-based virtual infrastructures, emphasizing vSphere components including ESXI, vCenter, and SRM/VRM, alongside Linux and Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and control rights on VMware virtual machine infrastructure, including using VMware Converter Enterprise.
• Establish resource pools and configure VMware Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) clusters for resource allocation and management.
• Set up VMware High Availability (HA) clusters ensuring system uptime.
• Install ESX servers including upgrades and maintenance of ESX platforms.
• Configure virtual networking components including virtual switches, network connections, and port groups.
• Manage storage configuration for virtual environments.
• Install and configure Virtual Center and its components to enable centralized management.
• Deliver third-level support for ESX operating systems, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Implement backup and recovery client software, automate security tasks, and health checks within the OS monitoring framework.
• Develop scripts to automate remote ESX server deployments.
• Ensure robust security practices within VMware virtualized environments.

Requirements

Candidates should have hands-on experience with ESXI, vCenter, SRM/VRM, and proficiency in Linux and Windows platforms.

Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization
