VLSI Engineer Level 3

Role Overview

This role focuses on the development of VLSI systems, taking responsibility for defining functionalities, architecture, layout, and implementation for client projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform module/IP functionality verification and deliver customer support.
• Acquire deep understanding of module/IP architecture to design verification environments and formulate development plans using Universal Verification Methodology.
• Develop test benches and code test cases for one or multiple modules.
• Write and review code as necessary to meet project needs.
• Execute test cases and perform debugging to resolve any issues.
• Analyze functional coverage and document comprehensive test cases, including any failures and debugging steps, using platforms such as SharePoint or JIRA.
• Conduct regression testing to validate complete IP functionality and produce thorough documentation for client delivery.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems to ensure minimal latency and high efficiency.
• Create automation scripts related to the IP functionality.
• Adhere to project schedules and industry standard procedures.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly status reports for clients as required.
• Maintain documentation and establish a repository covering all design modifications and recommendations.
• Keep accurate timesheets for client projects.
• Provide written knowledge transfer and detailed project histories.

Performance Metrics

• Verification: measured by timeliness, code quality, defect count, responsiveness to clients, and completeness of project documentation.
• Self-development: assessed through skill tests for advancement to the next level on the Trend Nxt platform.

Mandatory Skill

Proficiency in Gate Level Simulation (GLS) is required.

Experience

Candidates should possess between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
