Visual Merchandiser

Position Overview

The Visual Merchandiser role supports delivering an exceptional guest experience by setting up and maintaining visual displays aligned with company guidelines to drive sales and inspire customers. This position emphasizes expertise in visual presentation including merchandising techniques, mannequin styling, layout mapping, fixture arrangement, and in-store marketing components.

Daily Responsibilities

• Plan and prioritize daily and weekly visual merchandising tasks guided by leadership to support sales goals, promotional events, and campaigns.
• Conduct weekly visual assessments and collaborate with store leaders to enhance the overall visual execution and guest experience.
• Evaluate and supervise visual standards execution throughout all store areas to elevate presentation quality.
• Implement corporate visual merchandising strategies, standards, and in-store marketing materials in relevant departments.
• Coordinate with leadership to troubleshoot merchandising challenges and adjust displays to uphold inspiring aesthetics.
• Manage and set spotlights to accentuate key product presentations effectively.
• Utilize team huddles and daily interactions to train colleagues on visual standards, signage, and affordability strategies that encourage sales growth.
• Maintain backroom orderliness and ensure current signage tools and fixtures are used appropriately while organizing non-planogram marketing materials storewide.
• Assist in onboarding and ongoing training of team members by sharing knowledge and closing skill gaps through hands-on learning.
• Foster an inclusive environment by respecting diverse perspectives and creating equitable experiences.
• Adhere strictly to ethical behavior, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.
• Engage with guests by greeting warmly while performing tasks and offer helpful assistance tailored to their needs.

Candidates Should Possess

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least one to two years of practical experience in visual merchandising.
• Minimum age of 18 years to apply.
• Strong business understanding, including knowledge of margins and profitability, along with creativity to inspire and drive sales.
• Solid awareness of style and current trends that align with the brand identity.
• Ability to lead and influence store teams to adopt visual merchandising processes effectively.
• Competency in operating communication devices such as handheld scanners and other technology as required.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent task management skills to prioritize workload efficiently.
• A welcoming, customer-focused disposition and effective verbal communication skills.
• Composure and focus in high-paced settings while managing multiple tasks within deadlines.

Physical and Work Requirements

• Must have access to all store areas to address guest or team concerns.
• Ability to operate work assist vehicles and pallet jacks.
• Interpret written instructions, technical reports, and operational information accurately.
• Handle cash register operations when necessary.
• Comfortable climbing ladders as part of display setups.
• Frequently lift or move products weighing up to 15 pounds, occasionally handling items or fixtures up to 44 pounds unaided.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays with reliable attendance.
• Full-time position without guaranteed 40 hours weekly; hours may vary based on business demands.
• Physical endurance to stay mobile and active throughout varying shift lengths.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting hourly wage ranges from $22.75 to $24.75, with the full pay scale extending up to $38.65 per hour, depending on factors such as market conditions, education, experience, and certifications.
