About the Role

The Visual Merchandiser enhances guest shopping experiences by creating and maintaining visually appealing product displays in line with company standards and strategies. This role involves mastering techniques such as mannequin styling, fixture arrangement, and in-store marketing to attract and inspire shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily and weekly visual merchandising plans incorporating sales objectives, promotional events, and marketing initiatives.
• Conduct regular visual assessments and collaborate with leadership to enhance store presentation and customer engagement.
• Ensure all visual standards and in-store marketing materials meet company guidelines across the store.
• Adjust displays and solve merchandising challenges under supervision to maintain compelling visual presentations.
• Manage and set overhead lighting to spotlight key merchandise effectively.
• Organize storage areas and maintain current signage and visual tools.
• Lead training and development in visual merchandising skills for team members and help bridge knowledge gaps.
• Demonstrate inclusivity, ethical behavior, compliance with safety policies, and respectful interaction with guests and team members.
• Create welcoming experiences by engaging guests during daily tasks and assisting with their needs.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in visual merchandising.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Business understanding including profit margins and sales strategies combined with a creative approach to visual presentation.
• Knowledge of current styling trends that align with the brand's identity.
• Proficiency in using communication devices and handheld scanners.
• Ability to work individually and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and prioritize duties effectively.
• A friendly, helpful demeanor towards customers and coworkers.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills under fast-paced conditions.

Additional Expectations

• Access all areas of the store when needed to resolve issues.
• Operate equipment such as Work Assist Vehicles and pallet jacks.
• Follow and interpret detailed instructions and reports accurately.
• Occasionally perform cashier duties.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and handling merchandise weighing up to 44 pounds independently or with minimal assistance.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance is essential.
• Role hours vary based on business demands without guaranteed 40 hours weekly.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly starting wage range is $22.50 to $24.50, with a full pay range up to $38.25 per hour. Compensation is influenced by factors including labor market conditions, education, certifications, and experience.
