Role Overview
This part-time remote position is for a Video Editor responsible for transforming raw footage into refined videos. Duties include editing tasks like cutting, trimming, sequencing, and adding transitions to produce captivating visual narratives. Daily responsibilities also encompass color grading, basic sound syncing, integrating motion graphics and visual enhancements, and tailoring videos for diverse platforms and formats.
The Video Editor will work closely with creative, marketing, and product teams to grasp project objectives, interpret briefs, and preserve brand standards. Managing media assets, ensuring timely content delivery, and recommending workflow improvements are also key aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in video editing and production skills.
- Experience with color grading and fundamental post-production enhancements.
- Ability to create motion graphics and incorporate visual elements and titles.
- Familiarity with professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or similar tools.
- Keen attention to detail, storytelling creativity, and a solid grasp of pacing, composition, and visual aesthetics.
- Strong communication abilities and capability to collaborate effectively within a remote team.
- Prior experience in video production or digital media, supported by a portfolio or showreel.
- Formal education or training in film, media, design, or related disciplines is advantageous but not essential.
