Job Overview
The role of an AV Editor involves specializing in video production by creating content based on existing templates and guidelines. The primary tasks include producing trailer cutdowns, H1 videos, multi-title assets, and drop-ins with a degree of autonomy on assigned projects while support is accessible for complex decisions or stakeholder communications. Your contributions directly affect collaboration with colleagues, producers, QA teams, and other key stakeholders, aiming to uphold production quality and meet team objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and edit video materials following established creative directives and templates.
- Produce various video items such as trailer cutdowns, H1 videos, multi-title assets, and drop-ins as assigned.
- Ensure all video edits meet defined business goals, quality standards, and deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with producers, quality assurance teams, and stakeholders to organize deliverables.
- Balance multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Consistently apply video templates and style guidelines adhering to company standards.
- Exercise creative judgment to enhance video content within specified parameters.
- Proactively improve audiovisual skills, including motion graphics, animation, and sound design.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere and other video editing tools.
- Efficiently manage deadlines across concurrent projects.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience of 3 to 5+ years as a video editor within creative agencies or similar production settings.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects, with at least 3 years of practical use.
- Familiarity with Photoshop and related graphic design software; advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite programs including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop are preferred.
- Experience handling data asset management, digital libraries, and asset research for quality content sourcing.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality control mindset.
- Working proficiency in English at B2 level (both spoken and written).
- Portfolio of work available online for review.
- Project management experience and understanding of marketing and advertising concepts are advantageous.
