Position Overview
We are searching for a skilled Video Editor who can creatively bring to life our product features, founder narratives, and brand essence through captivating videos.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform raw footage, product demos, and original concepts into engaging launch films, social media content, and advertisements designed to attract and retain audience attention.
- Edit videos that blend storytelling with product showcases and strong visual elements.
- Produce founder-focused content featuring interviews, talking heads, and behind-the-scenes clips.
- Create short-form videos optimized for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, ensuring compelling hooks and deliberate pacing.
- Design paid advertising creative with variations in openings, messaging, and calls to action.
- Incorporate screen recordings, motion graphics, kinetic typography, and clear visual explanations to vividly present the product.
- Manage the entire post-production workflow, including selecting footage, editing, color grading, sound design, music integration, captioning, and final exports.
- Leverage AI creative technologies to produce supplementary visuals, voiceovers, and assets that enhance quality or accelerate production.
- Ensure visual consistency across formats and channels through brand-aligned edits.
- Enhance content effectiveness by analyzing performance metrics such as retention, watch time, and conversion rates and applying insights to improve future edits.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a comprehensive portfolio highlighting storytelling, video editing proficiency, and an eye for aesthetics.
- Proficient with video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, alongside motion design skills using After Effects or equivalent tools.
- Understands how to capture viewer attention within the first three seconds and maintain their engagement.
- Able to distill lengthy recordings into concise, compelling narratives.
- Appreciates the role of sound elements—music, silence, effects—and pacing to evoke desired emotions.
- Comfortable incorporating AI tools such as Runway, Kling, Sora, and ElevenLabs to complement the creative process.
- Works autonomously, adheres to deadlines, and is receptive to constructive critique.
- Balances efficiency with quality, meticulously attending to details that elevate the polish of finished work.
Experience creating SaaS product videos, founder-centric content, documentary storytelling, or paid social advertisements is advantageous.
Why Work With Us?
- Contribute significantly to shaping the video identity of an emerging company from its early stages.
- Collaborate directly with the founder on product launches, storytelling, and transparent public building initiatives.
- Exercise creative ownership and witness your projects being showcased across multiple brand and marketing platforms.
- Opportunity for career growth into broader creative leadership, potentially leading a video production team.
- Competitive compensation paired with performance-based rewards.
- Remote work flexibility within a motivated, entrepreneurial environment.
Our Expectations
We prioritize ownership, open communication, high standards, and ongoing learning. Success here depends on your willingness to take initiative, experiment, and continuously refine your craft.
What May Not Suit You
- Preferring highly detailed, step-by-step instructions rather than embracing creative autonomy.
- Seeking a slow-paced, predictable role with minimal changes and challenges.
- Difficulty handling direct feedback, iterations, or experimenting with new methods.
- Focusing more on visual aesthetics than on meaningful storytelling and results-driven content.
- Resisting learning new tools or adapting your creative approach.
- Bringing ego or workplace politics instead of collaborative spirit and accountability.
- Lacking motivation to excel and become outstanding in your craft.
