Role Summary and Responsibilities

We seek a seasoned Vice President and Solution Architect to design, build, and roll out scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions that solve complex business challenges. You will collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to create architectures that align with corporate goals and technological strategies, ensuring the solutions remain innovative and forward-looking.

• Partner with internal groups and third-party providers to deliver reliable application services supporting the bank's business and functional units.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams through all phases of the solution development lifecycle.
• Guarantee compliance with security, performance, and regulatory standards across all solutions.
• Engage in code and design reviews to uphold architectural integrity and best practices.
• Architect comprehensive end-to-end solutions in line with enterprise standards and organizational objectives.
• Assess and advise on technologies, tools, and frameworks suitable for projects and institutional needs.
• Keep abreast of emerging technological trends to enhance solution designs continually.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to collect requirements and convert them into detailed solution architectures.
• Create architectural diagrams, blueprints, and documents to effectively communicate proposals.
• Identify and resolve architectural and integration challenges swiftly.
• Explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences including both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to promote effective collaboration.
• Bridge communication between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

Educational and Professional Requirements

• Possess a tertiary qualification in technology or a comparable Computer Engineering degree from a recognized institution.
• Have a minimum of 8 years in Application Service delivery or development.
• Hold at least 5 years of hands-on experience serving as a Solution Architect within the banking sector.
• Experience in microservices architecture, distributed systems, and development of scalable solutions is required.
• Preferably have experience with Cloud platforms.
• Certification as an Enterprise Architect is an advantage.

• Expertise in system design, API development, and data modeling.
• Excellent skills in communication and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Capability to balance and reconcile business demands with technical limitations to deliver practical solutions.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
