Role Responsibilities
- Act as the lead functional expert on Murex Front Office modules by working closely with traders and front-office teams.
- Conduct thorough business process analysis, elicit requirements for new features, and perform gap analysis to determine optimal solutions within the Murex environment.
- Convert business demands into clear functional specifications to guide development and configuration teams.
- Configure and test Murex for front-office capabilities such as trade capture, pricing, and market data management.
- Create and maintain e-tradepad templates, pricing patterns, and booking workflows for diverse financial instruments.
- Design and implement pre-trade rules and workflows to promote compliance and automation.
- Deliver advanced support to front-office users, addressing trading, pricing, or position discrepancy issues using tools like Simulation Viewer, e-Tradepad, and Datamart.
- Analyze pre-trade rules and amend or author new ones as necessary.
- Manage and prioritize production incidents to ensure their swift resolution.
- Lead or contribute to strategic projects including Murex upgrades, new product implementations, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Collaborate across departments to facilitate system integration, data migration, and comprehensive testing.
- Estimate effort for front-office delivery streams and provide regular project progress updates.
- Develop and deliver training programs and create user documentation to enhance platform utilization.
- Keep detailed records of configurations, workflows, and functional specs.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- At least 8 years working experience with the Murex platform focused on front-office implementation and sustained support.
- Proven track record as a Murex Business Analyst or Consultant in capital markets.
- Strong expertise in a minimum of two asset classes such as Interest Rate Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Equities, or Commodities.
- In-depth knowledge of Murex Front Office modules including E-tradepad, Simulation Viewer, Pre-Trade Workflow, Market Data, Datamart, and associated reporting tools.
- Proficient in SQL (Oracle or Sybase) for data investigation and troubleshooting tasks.
- Solid grounding in financial principles related to pricing, valuation, risk management, sensitivities (Greeks), and profit & loss monitoring.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or VBA, and Unix commands is an advantage.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage intricate challenges under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, collaborative mindset with capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Skills (Advantageous)
- Experience working with Murex regulatory modules including FRTB, VaR (MRA/MRB), and xVA.
- Exposure to Flex API or other Murex integration tools.
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
