Vehicle Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a committed Vehicle Technician to join a reputable independent workshop located near Hemel Hempstead. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a broad range of vehicles within a supportive work environment. Working Hours and Compensation

The position offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000 annually. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with Saturday mornings included on a rota basis. Additionally, candidates can expect quarterly and annual bonuses as part of the compensation package.

Responsibilities

• Identify and fix issues related to engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Conduct regular maintenance activities including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake evaluations.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot intricate mechanical problems.
• Maintain comprehensive records detailing work completed and parts utilized.
• Engage with customers, explaining vehicle concerns and recommending repairs as necessary.
• Ensure the workshop remains orderly and clean to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Stay updated on new developments in automotive technology and repair methodologies.

Requirements

• Possession of at least Level 2 certification in Light Vehicle Maintenance, complemented by a minimum of three years of full-time experience.
• Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• A valid full UK driving license is essential.
