Position Overview
We are currently hiring a Vehicle Inspector to join our vehicle operations team in Nova Scotia. This position involves assessing incoming vehicles to ensure they satisfy Clutch's stringent quality benchmarks before moving forward to reconditioning or sales. The role includes documenting car conditions, detecting any flaws, and working with different departments to keep operations smooth.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections on vehicles arriving for damage, cleanliness, and mechanical faults.
- Identify and communicate any defects not conforming to quality standards.
- Safely operate, move, and position vehicles around the lot.
- Record inspection outcomes using checklists and digital platforms.
- Coordinate priorities with reconditioning, detailing, and mechanical teams.
- Troubleshoot minor vehicle issues at a basic level.
- Maintain organization of work areas and adhere to safety protocols.
Candidate Requirements
- Keen attention to detail with adherence to procedural guidelines.
- Willingness and physical capability to work outdoors in varying weather.
- Basic automotive knowledge or eagerness to develop it.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive automatic vehicles; manual transmission skills are advantageous.
- Comfortable with digital tools such as tablets and basic software.
- Dependable, collaborative, and flexible team player.
- Availability for a full 40-hour work week, including overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in automotive, logistics, or warehouse roles.
- Familiarity with applications such as Google Sheets or similar software.
- Manual transmission driving capability is a plus.
