Role Overview

As an Auto Body Estimator within Clutch's reconditioning department, you will ensure precise vehicle repair cost appraisals and oversee scheduling for repair work, bridging communication between repair shops and internal teams. This role supports maintaining the efficiency and timeliness of vehicle reconditioning processes. The position operates on an evening schedule from Monday to Thursday, 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, and includes a $1.50/hour shift premium.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess damage photos to calculate accurate vehicle repair estimates, considering accuracy, quantity, and turnaround.
• Liaise with repair shops to obtain quotes and service information.
• Arrange vehicle repair appointments with authorized facilities.
• Manage invoicing related to repair works.
• Communicate updates to management about scheduling and repair statuses via calls and emails.
• Handle large volumes of estimates and coordinate appointments within a dynamic environment.
• Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, bookings, and correspondence.
• Follow up to confirm timely completion of repairs and adherence to schedules.
• Detect and address any discrepancies or communication breakdowns with vendors and teams.
• Utilize internal tools such as email, Google Drive, and Slack to monitor workflow stages.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong and clear communication skills to effectively interact with management, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues related to scheduling, estimations, and invoicing, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Customer service oriented with a professional, approachable communication style.
• Capability to perform independently while working collaboratively within a team.
• Proactive mindset to identify process improvements and enhance operational workflows.
• Comfortable working onsite within a busy reconditioning facility.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Employment Details and Benefits

• Employment Type: Permanent, full-time.
• Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM; includes a shift premium of $1.50 per hour.
• Hourly Wage: $20.00 plus shift premium.
