About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and personable Van Rider to assist in transporting children, primarily those with special needs, as part of a leading early intervention clinic. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and wish to contribute to their developmental success in a supportive, patient-focused environment. Both full-time and part-time openings are available.
Organization Overview
Miracle Kids Success Academy (MKSA) and Kids Unlimited Learning Academy (KULA) specialize in early intervention day treatment services for children from birth through Kindergarten, focusing on those with developmental disabilities or delays. Services provided include therapies for motor skills, sensory and speech-language challenges, feeding, hearing impairments, cognitive delays, and children with specific medical needs. Our team of licensed therapists and nurses collaboratively ensures comprehensive care tailored to each child's needs. Additionally, MKSA/KULA offers psychological testing, nutritional consultations, and audiological exams. During summer months, services may extend to elementary-aged special needs children.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and dependable transportation services for children receiving treatment.
- Maintain professional and effective communication with children, families, and staff.
- Support the early intervention team by adhering to schedules and child care protocols during transport.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent credential.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- No prior experience necessary; willingness to engage and learn is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suitable for interacting with diverse individuals, including at-risk families and young children (birth to age six).
- Strong organizational abilities paired with careful attention to detail and precision.
- Basic computer literacy including familiarity with databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet usage.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Competency in reading and understanding simple instructions and ability to draft straightforward correspondence.
- Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to follow detailed yet uncomplicated written or oral directions and address routine issues with practical judgment.
