Role Overview
Join Travis Perkins as a Tool Hire Driver and Workshop Operative, where you will support the Hire Manager by managing mechanical and electrical compliance and conducting repairs and testing on tools and equipment to ensure they meet Hire standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing, repairs, and preparations of hire tools and equipment to ensure they are safe, compliant, and customer-ready.
- Assist the Hire Manager with daily operations in the department.
- Deliver and collect a variety of tools and equipment efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their requirements and offering expert advice.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, audits, and compliance measures, prioritizing safety in all activities.
Experience and Background
Previous experience in the Plant and Hire industry or understanding of electrical, petrol, or diesel equipment is advantageous but not mandatory. We value transferable skills such as robust customer service and sales experience. A full, clean UK driving license is essential.
