Valuer - Agribusiness

About the Role

Joining the Credit and Market Risk Department, the In-house Valuation team plays a vital role in supporting the Agribusiness division's objectives by providing property valuation expertise related to credit assessments and management of agricultural loans and portfolios.

The Valuer will report to the Senior Manager, Property Risk. Key responsibilities involve verifying property details, analyzing comparable sales data, conducting market analysis, appraising property values, commissioning Panel valuation firms, and reviewing their reports. These valuations enable Agribusiness Relationship Managers to make informed credit submissions critical to managing borrower risk effectively.

Work Location and Flexibility

• This is a permanent position that can be based at any Bendigo Bank office nationwide in Australia.
• The role offers a hybrid working model that combines local corporate or regional office attendance with remote work, arranged collaboratively with leadership.
• The team frequently collaborates across regions and is supported with technology and tools to ensure inclusive and smooth integration, regardless of location.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Must hold Certified Practising Valuer status.
• Associate or Fellow membership with the Australian Property Institute (API) or RICS equivalent is essential.
• A genuine passion for the property sector, specifically agricultural property, is required.
• Strong abilities to engage and influence stakeholders to meet set objectives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Self-driven with the ability to develop relationships and work efficiently within a geographically dispersed team.
• Proficient computer skills including database management, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• High integrity, discretion, and capacity to maintain confidentiality.
• Effective negotiation, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
