About the Role

A reputable independent firm of Chartered Surveyors in Scotland is expanding its specialist Rating team due to business growth and an increased workload. The company is well-established in the residential and commercial property sectors, providing expert guidance on rating, valuation, and property taxation to a diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities

• Handle Council Tax and Domestic Rating appeals across Scotland.
• Evaluate assessments for potential cost savings and rebranding opportunities.
• Conduct property inspections and carry out valuation analyses.
• Prepare detailed reports and deliver strategic recommendations to clients.
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients.
• Stay informed on legislation and market trends that impact property taxation.
• Assist with wider valuation and professional services tasks as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a degree in Real Estate, Surveying, Property, or a related field.
• Has experience in Rating, Valuation, General Practice, or a comparable property consultancy setting.
• Possesses MRICS qualification, is enrolled in APC, or is motivated to achieve chartership.
• Exhibits strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and client engagement skills.
• Proactive with a genuine enthusiasm for advancing a career in Rating and Valuation.
• Possession of a full UK driving licence is beneficial.
