Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Valeter to join our branch specializing in Vauxhall, Peugeot, and Leapmotor vehicles located in Edinburgh Sighthill. This full-time opportunity offers a dynamic work environment for those who enjoy physical activity and take pride in detail-oriented work.

Working Hours

Full-time schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and alternate Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all vehicles, both sold and in stock, are maintained in pristine condition
  • Perform external cleaning using high-powered pressure washers
  • Conduct interior cleaning with high-powered vacuums and shampooing equipment
  • Operate polishing and buffing machines to enhance the vehicle's bodywork appearance
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines when handling chemicals
  • Maintain all equipment and machinery safely, report any faults, and comply with manufacturer and personal protective equipment instructions
  • Work efficiently within specific timeframes and meet targets
  • Use an online scheduling system to organise vehicle cleaning appointments
  • Record daily work activities diligently
  • Perform any additional tasks needed to support branch operations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid full UK driving licence
  • Basic proficiency with computer systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-driven with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Openness to participate in ongoing training initiatives

Prior experience in valeting is advantageous but not mandatory; comprehensive training is provided for motivated candidates meeting the specified criteria. New valeters will undergo training at the Valet Academy.
