Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and driven Valeter to join the Vauxhall/Fiat/Abarth branch located in Glenrothes. This role involves preparing vehicles so they are impeccably presented to the highest standards.

Working Hours

Full-time schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, plus alternate Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Key Duties

• Thoroughly cleaning both sold and stock vehicles
• Washing vehicle exteriors utilizing high-powered pressure washers
• Vacuuming and shampooing interiors to maintain cleanliness
• Using polishing and buffing machines to enhance the vehicle bodywork
• Adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines when handling chemicals
• Maintaining and securing all equipment and machinery, promptly reporting any issues, and following manufacturer recommendations including PPE use
• Meeting assigned schedules and production targets
• Managing vehicle appointments via an online diary system
• Documenting daily completed tasks thoroughly
• Supporting the branch with other related responsibilities as needed

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a full UK driving licence
• Basic computer literacy
• Keen eye for detail
• Self-driven while also being a cooperative team member
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Open to actively engaging in training initiatives

Previous valet experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be offered for candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm and meet the role's criteria. New hires will attend the Arnold Clark Valet Academy to develop skills further.
