About the Role

USIC is seeking motivated individuals passionate about outdoor independent work who want to start a rewarding career. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately identify underground utilities such as telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer lines.
  • Conduct comprehensive searches in assigned areas, mark utility locations precisely, complete required documentation, and photograph each site.
  • Utilize company-provided vehicles and advanced ticket and claims management systems to ensure clear and thorough mark-out services.
  • Work primarily daytime hours with a 48-hour turnaround expectation on many tasks, including availability for overtime, weekends, holiday shifts, and on-call duties as per business needs.

Requirements

  • Capability and willingness to perform outdoor work under varying weather conditions; previous outdoor experience preferred.
  • Comfort and proficiency with technology usage.
  • Availability for overtime, weekend, and on-call shifts.
  • Pass necessary drug screening due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Physical ability to work in confined spaces, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Color vision sufficient to distinguish utility marking colors.
  • Ability to read and understand locate tickets, maps, and prints.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with team members, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

The position offers an hourly wage of $20.00. Benefits include:

This is a full-time onsite role located in Grapevine, TX. Availability for flexible scheduling including holidays and weekends is mandatory.
