The Utility Locate Technician role is vital in preventing damage to these essential underground utilities during excavation efforts by providing precise marking services using advanced technology like the LaunchPoint software system.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting hourly wage ranges from $25.50 to $32.00, depending on experience.
• Company vehicle, fuel card, and cell phone provided for use and to facilitate starting the workday directly from home.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate independently outdoors, using a company vehicle as a mobile office to complete assigned daily routes for locate requests.
• Accurately and safely identify and mark underground utility lines using paint, flags, and whisker markers as needed.
• Utilize a mobile work system to receive and manage daily tasks efficiently.
• Participate in on-call rotations and accept overtime assignments, including nights and weekends when required.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug test, motor vehicle record review, and background check.
• This position is designated safety-sensitive under Federal Department of Transportation regulations; therefore, marijuana use (medical or recreational) is prohibited.
• Minimum education of a High School Diploma or GED and age of at least 18 years.
• Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
