About the Role

Join Ansco & Associates, LLC as a Utility Line Locator, playing a vital role in safely identifying and marking underground utilities to ensure project safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize detection tools to accurately locate and mark underground utility lines, consulting experienced Locators when necessary.
  • Interpret utility maps for precise underground utility detection.
  • Record and document all locate activities meticulously.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to excavation inquiries.
  • Maintain effective communication with excavators, utility representatives, and internal teams.
  • Perform light digging with a shovel when required.
  • Be available for overtime, travel, and on-call or after-hours duties as needed.
  • Work efficiently in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this employer.
  • High school diploma, GED equivalent, or applicable work experience.
  • A valid state non-provisional driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Regular tasks include working solo in remote areas, operating vehicles, performing motions such as reaching overhead, squeezing, fine motor skills, bending, stooping, standing, walking, lifting up to 55 pounds, and computer use.
  • Occasional activities involve climbing stairs, working in confined spaces, and using portable ladders.
