Team Overview

The Early Careers division plays an essential role in Stripe's long-term talent development. The University Recruiting team shapes Stripe's future by designing recruitment frameworks, programs, and partnerships to attract top-tier interns, apprentices, and recent graduates.

Role Summary

As University Recruiting Manager, you will oversee and mentor a team of University Recruiters, owning the strategy and execution for hiring interns and new graduates across various roles and business lines at Stripe. This leadership position requires collaboration with company leaders, transforming ambitious hiring targets into effective, lasting programs. You'll also manage global internship and apprenticeship initiatives, covering onboarding, intern engagement, and handling employee relations issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor University Recruiters, setting standards for judgment, execution, and collaboration with candidates and hiring teams.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive early careers hiring strategy aligned with Stripe's business needs, translating this strategy into actionable recruiting plans with measurable success metrics.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and various hiring teams to align recruitment efforts with workforce demands and achieve challenging hiring objectives.
  • Direct global internship and apprenticeship programs, overseeing onboarding, program administration, participant experience, and addressing employee relation concerns.
  • Enhance the candidate experience by partnering with cross-functional teams such as Finance, People Operations, Benefits, Onboarding, and Legal.
  • Create and refine university engagement, event participation, employer branding, and employee referral strategies to strengthen the early careers talent funnel.
  • Utilize people analytics, recruiting data, and operational feedback to identify trends, evaluate performance, guide decisions, and optimize recruitment systems.
  • Elevate the University Recruiting function by applying rigor, attention to detail, and strong perspectives both strategically and operationally.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience designing and executing university recruiting strategies or significant early talent initiatives within dynamic, complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing University Recruiting teams with a focus on providing constructive feedback and fostering professional development.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to clarify and resolve complex, multi-stakeholder challenges.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills for building credibility with leaders at all levels and driving aligned actions.
  • Highly accountable with a disciplined work ethic, capable of thriving in rapidly changing environments.
  • Commitment to quality and detail, ensuring excellent strategy, program design, candidate experience, and operational execution.
  • Interest and experience in people analytics, using recruiting metrics and data to enhance decision-making and outcomes.
  • Experience collaborating closely with hiring teams as a trusted recruitment advisor.

Work Environment Expectations

Employees classified as Office-assigned Stripes generally spend at least 50% of their working time in their local office or user locations monthly. Certain roles, including those based in Dublin, Ireland, require 100% on-site work. Specific team requirements will be outlined by hiring managers to support effective collaboration and user needs, balancing in-person connectivity with flexibility when feasible.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position in its primary location is SGD 212,000 to SGD 318,000. This range may differ based on hiring location, candidate experience, qualifications, and career level within the company. Compensation packages may also include equity, bonuses or commission structures, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.
