About the Role
Join our team as a Unit Refurbishment Delivery Lead based in Christchurch, supporting refurbishment projects across multiple villages. In this key position, you will coordinate the full lifecycle of refurbishment initiatives from initial planning through to successful completion. Working closely with the Portfolio Unit Refurbishment Manager, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and meet our quality standards. This role combines project coordination, contractor oversight, stakeholder engagement, quality assurance, training, and continuous improvement activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist both internal and external project managers by tracking progress, managing costs, escalating problems, and supporting contractor performance oversight.
- Oversee the project delivery of designated unit refurbishments to ensure compliance with timelines, standards, and operational needs within the villages.
- Maintain comprehensive refurbishment tracking data including scheduling, scope, consent requirements, risks, delays, and handover details to provide clear program visibility.
- Contribute to reporting efforts by delivering timely updates on project progress, risks, contractor issues, compliance, and emerging challenges.
Who You Are
- Experienced in managing and coordinating projects related to refurbishments, residential building, or maintenance works.
- Skilled in building strong collaborative relationships with contractors, suppliers, village teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Able to manage multiple refurbishment programs simultaneously while maintaining alignment with schedules, quality targets, and operational expectations.
- Proficient in project management tools, reporting platforms, and financial systems to monitor progress, aid decision making, and deliver training.
- Proactive in identifying potential risks, solving problems, and driving ongoing improvements throughout project delivery.
