Underwriter for Management Liability (D&O)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Underwriter specialized in Management Liability (D&O) to join our Hamburg office. This role involves thorough assessment and analysis of corporate data including financial reports, designing and negotiating tailored insurance solutions for managers in industrial and corporate sectors, and proactively expanding and safeguarding the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze company-specific data such as financial statements.
• Develop and negotiate customized, including international, insurance products for management personnel in industry and corporate segments.
• Independently grow and protect the portfolio.
• Conduct risk monitoring activities.
• Support and manage relationships with brokers and corporate agents, enhancing the network.
• Provide expert assistance to sales teams.
• Contribute to product development initiatives.
• Plan and implement strategic sales measures.

Candidate Profile

• Completed training in insurance or finance related commercial profession and/or university degree in law, business, or economics.
• Expertise in the Management Liability insurance segment.
• Underwriting experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Flexibility and commitment to the role.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for independent, responsible, and structured work.
• Interest in current economic events.
• Excellent German and good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
