The role involves creating innovative web, mobile, and desktop software tailored for construction professionals. Role Highlights
This position places you at the cutting edge of designing next-generation AI assistants and key product applications that redefine field data collection and usage worldwide. You'll join a supportive global UX team with access to a comprehensive pattern library, accelerating your development and allowing your creative concepts to be applied in authentic construction settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of an intuitive AI assistant integrated within the map viewer to enhance core products.
- Collaborate on transitioning essential field data collection functions into cloud-based enterprise applications.
- Conduct customer validation for interactive prototypes through field visits to obtain user insights.
- Work closely with global engineering and product teams to convert complex workflows into elegant user interfaces.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related disciplines.
- Between one to three years of professional experience as a junior designer, supported by a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency with modern design software, notably Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- A collaborative mindset receptive to creative feedback and agile workflows.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Interest or practical experience in designing AI-powered tools and utilizing AI-assisted prototyping techniques.
- Awareness of emerging design technologies and digital transformation trends applicable to industrial sectors.
Logistics
- Work location: Christchurch, New Zealand, primarily onsite four days per week.
- Minimal travel involved.
