Job description
Role Overview
This position involves working as a Field Service Representative responsible for the installation and maintenance of Siemens Energy, Dresser, and other manufacturer compressors and related equipment worldwide. The specialist acts as a key link between customers and company departments including management and sales, focusing on turbo compressors and handling all mechanical aspects during installation and service outages.
Primary Duties
- Conduct mechanical installation and overhaul of turbo compressor units and auxiliary equipment following OEM quality and specifications.
- Lead and supervise teams undertaking complete overhauls and installations of turbo compressors aligned with service requirements.
- Ensure precise installation by verifying OEM instructions, baseplate levelness, and alignment measurements.
- Use Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and dimensional drawings for accurate installation procedures.
- Perform root cause analysis for troubleshooting and provide clients with status updates, scheduling, and spare parts advice.
- Produce comprehensive technical reports post-service outages detailing actions and recommendations.
- Maintain safety by promoting a Zero-harm culture and adhering strictly to company and customer environmental, health, and safety protocols.
- Work under challenging environments including hot, cold, noisy settings, covering day/night shifts including weekends and holidays.
Candidate Profile
- Educational qualifications include a High School/GED diploma or an Engineering degree with equivalent experience.
- Must possess 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in turbo compressor package overhaul and maintenance.
- Hands-on expert knowledge in dry gas seal replacement, bearing inspections and replacements, rotor and bundle changes, alignment, foundation inspection, and lubrication oil flushing.
- Experience with reciprocating compressors is a strong advantage.
- Highly proficient in precision measurement techniques and skilled with office software and portal systems for reporting.
- Proven leadership in guiding teams during complex compressor installations and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of handling complex discussions with clients to ensure satisfaction and safeguard company interests.
- Strict adherence to safety standards and cultural commitment to zero harm.
- Physical fitness to climb, maneuver around machinery, evacuate as needed, and endure prolonged standing and walking; capable of offshore work and passing medical evaluations for offshore eligibility.
