Job description
Overview
We are looking for a skilled CMM Operator to join our Quality department, responsible for operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines to ensure the dimensional accuracy of machined parts.
Primary Duties
- Program and operate CMM equipment for detailed dimensional inspections.
- Examine machined components according to engineering drawings and GD&T standards.
- Prepare and uphold detailed inspection reports for CMM measurements.
- Detect and communicate any dimensional discrepancies or non-conformities.
- Utilize various measuring devices including vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Collaborate with Production and Design teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Ensure maintenance of CMM machinery, measuring tools, and accurate record keeping of inspections.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Prior experience in CMM operation and programming is favored.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and precision measuring techniques.
